Micro needling For Skin Rejuvenation
Micro needling treatment has been used in Europe for many years. Now, it has become very popular here in North America, for its efficacy on the skin, and it is here to stay. Microneedling uses tiny needles, ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 mm in length, to stimulate collagen. As the needles create microchannels in the skin, the body responds by healing itself, creating more collagen. This process occurs almost immediately. At SD Aesthetics we use DermaFrac, for its safety and predictable results.
Along with 180 micro needles, it combines other rejuvenating technologies to infuse powerful serums into the skin. Specific ingredients are selected to target your skin’s concerns:
Hyaluronic acid to hydrate
Kojic acid to lighten
Salicylic acid to clarify
Peptides to rejuvenate
Growth factors for healing and healthy cells
Vitamin C for antioxidant protection
As always treatments are customized, however, we suggest series of 6 to 10 , administered every 1 to 2 weeks, followed by a monthly or bimonthy maintenance. Treatments should not be performed until 7 days after having had Botox, fillers, waxing, electrolysis, or high frequency. Unlike other resurfacing skin treatments, microneedling is one of my favorites because there is no removal of the top layer of the skin, meaning there is no downtime post treatment.
